Golden copy data and Data Stewards 

For each type of University data there is one system that holds the golden or reference copy of this information, such as student data (EUCLID), staff data (People & Money).  Golden copy data is fed to other University systems to make use of it, but any updates must be made to the golden copy.

The Data Stewards are the owners of the golden copy of the large University data sets. A complete list of all Data Stewards can be found here:

Access to golden copy data

Sometimes an area requires access to golden copy data. That could be a one-off data dump or a regular data feed, such as through an API. This could be for statistical analysis, forecasting etc.
